Be That Neighbor needs your support. As many of you know, Be That Neighbor raises the money to make the Mill City Singers happen and keep it free for all who are interested. The board does all that work as volunteers. Every donated dollar goes directly to the salaries of the professionals that lead us. This is amazing work and work that gives us all great joy.
However, they need money to keep things going!
On October 20th at 7:00, they are holding a benefit concert at MacPhail Center for Music, AND it will star the Steele Family! Can you imagine? If you haven’t heard the family before, the joy is incredible! You won’t forget it and it is an easy walk. Tickets for the benefit are $125 and it is tax deductible.
For that money you get an evening of incredible music and palpable joy and optimism. You also help support the following programs, which were founded and are managed by Be That Neighbor.
- Mill City Singers
- Yoga in the Park
- Sallie Steele Birdsong Scholarship, which provides free music lessons for young people who come from families who cannot afford those lessons.
- A theater program in partnership with the Guthrie Theater that will allow juniors and seniors in high school to study acting at the Guthrie and receive high school and college credit for that program
So, purchasing a ticket serves a multitude of purposes, and will provide you with an unbelievable evening of music and laughter.
