[DMNA] Friends of Triangle Park fundraiser

Hello Friends and Neighbors:

As gardeners throughout the Twin Cities are planning their gardens and
preparing to purchase plants, flowers and gardening supplies, so too are
The "Friends of Triangle Park" in downtown Minneapolis.  The group is made
up of concerned citizens and neighbors of the park which is right near the
Convention Center.  Together we have had many accomplishments so far: 

  a.. Recruited Master Gardener from Univery Extension Division/Hennepin
County 
  b.. Attained ongoing lawn maintenance and access to city water 
  c.. Gardens weeded, planted (spring bulbs) and soil tested 
  d.. Police patrol of park on a regular basis 
  e.. Fall/Spring planting plan developed 
  f.. Recruited Park Board Forestry for care and pruning of trees

The vision for Triangle Park is the creation of a welcoming doorstep to
signal entrance to downtown Minneapolis.  The mission of the "Friends of
Triangle Park" is to beautify the park to achieve the vision and provide
the means to maintain and develop improvements.

I am enclosing a flyer for an upcoming fundraiser which is being held on
April 28th at Otho Restaurant on 10th and Portland.  We do hope you can
join us as well as spread the word.  We hope we can count on lots of the
downtown residents and organizations to support this endeavor since it does
impact all of us by making sure that people's first and last impression of
downtown Minneapolis is positive.
