The Pedestrian Advisory Committee to the Mayor and the City Council of the
City of Minneapolis was created by Resolution 2006R-636 on December 22, 2006
to advise the Mayor and City Council on policies, programs, and actions for
improving pedestrian safety, mobility, accessibility, and comfort; for
promoting walking for transportation, recreation, and health purposes; and
for strengthening the linkage between the pedestrian environment and public
transportation.   Five vacancies are currently available for city residents
or business owners for terms beginning immediately and expiring December 31,
2010. Membership applications must be postmarked or received by January 16,
